Understanding the service

What is this service?

Yin-Shi Memorial Rite is a private, full-length Taoist memorial ceremony performed in honour of one departed loved one.

Conducted individually in Shandong, China by a dedicated ceremonial practitioner, the observance brings together formal memorial dedication, recitation, offerings and traditional ritual practice. Private photographic and video documentation is delivered after completion.

Traditional context

Within Chinese Taoist ceremonial practice, Yin-Shi refers to rites conducted for the deceased. The Yin-Shi Memorial Rite gives a family a formal way to honour one departed loved one through a complete ceremonial observance.

The rite centres on remembrance, dedication, carefully prepared offerings and traditional Taoist ceremonial practice. It is performed in China on your behalf; you do not need to attend in person.

Each order is prepared for one departed individual using the memorial information and family dedication submitted with the order.

Choose Yin-Shi Memorial Rite for a complete Taoist memorial rite performed for one departed person.

Choose Ancestor Offering Service when the purpose is a simpler memorial paper offering for an ancestor or family line. Choose Pet Memorial Rite for a departed animal companion.
